Job description
Position: Second Engineer
Fleet: Global LPG
The 2nd Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining all propulsion and auxiliary systems, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Monitor engines, pumps, compressors, and generators.
Record daily engine room data and fuel logs.
Supervise junior engineers and oilers.
Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Participate in safety and firefighting drills.
Requirements:
2nd Engineer license (Gas Carrier).
2+ years experience in same rank on LPG tankers.
Valid STCW, medical, and tanker endorsements.
Strong technical and communication skills.
Contract:
4–6 month rotation.
Salary based on experience and rank.
